SAY "AMEN" TO GOD'S GLORY

Proposition: To place an emphasis on faith as the basis for our understanding glory. The inherent concept of "Amen!" involves faith and agreement with what is true. Often this is built upon the revelation of Scripture.

III. THE "AMENS" IN RESPONSE TO THE GLORY OF GOD - IN DOXOLOGIES

     A. God the Father – Rom 11:36

KJV Romans 11:36  For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things:

     B. God the Father Through Jesus Christ - Rom. 16:26, 27

KJV Romans 16:26  But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the
prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to
all nations for the obedience of faith: 27 To God only wise, be glory
through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

KJV Ephesians 3:21  Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus

KJV 1 Timothy 1:17  Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only

present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

 IV. THE ASSOCIATION OF AMEN WITH "BLESS"

     A. God Blessed (euloghtos) Forever - Rom. 9:25

KJV Romans 9:25  As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which
were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.

     B. Creator Blessed (euloghtos) [eulogetos] Forever - Rom. 1:25

KJV Romans 1:25  Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and
served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

KJV Psalm 106:48  Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to
everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD.

 VI. THE GREAT AMEN FOR THE CHURCH - Rev. 22:20

KJV Revelation 22:20  He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come
quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

TRANS: Do we sincerely believe when we make statements about God? Do we really affirm the truth of our statements as they are measured by God's revelation of Himself in the Scriptures? Do our lives provide an Amen! for the provisions of the grace of God for the Christian?
